If a LAN connection is not available,
the network camera can be hooked up to the construction company's
network via a cellular phone modem.
The transmission speed is low, but sufficient
for still images.
Since the Axis network camera includes
a Web server, no computer is required for the connection at
the job site.
The client can easily access a live
image of the construction project by typing a specified address
into the Web browser.
This set-up also makes it possible for
personnel who are not on site to remotely view the progress
of the project.
