The modems used in the example
are standard modems connected to normal telephone jacks or
cellular phone modems using e.g. GSM, CDMA, CDPD or TDMA.
The cameras are analog CCD
cameras.
The PCs use a protocol called
Peer-to-Peer Protocol (PPP) to connect to the network camera
server.
PPP is included in Axis network
video products as well as in the Windows operating system.
Procedure:
- Install all equipment.
- Set up the video server for the PPP protocol according to
the manual.
- Enter telephone number etc to the PPP program in the PC.
- Connect to the video server using PPP.
- View the images using your standard Web browser, e.g. Internet
Explorer or Netscape.
