from the comfort of their homes or offices.
Procedure:
Obtain e.g. a DSL account
from a local ISP (Internet Service Provider).
Install all equipment.
Assign IP addresses etc to the network cameras/video servers/network
DVRs.
Watch real-time video using a standard Web browser, from anywhere.
For continuous recording, program your networked video product
to store images on a file server using FTP, or use a network
DVR to store the images locally.
Images can also be sent via
e-mail upon a triggered alarm.
In this example, Shop 1 is already equipped with four CCD
cameras and one TV monitor.
As the CCD cameras are still
working, you want to keep them.
Therefore a video server is
connected in parallel with the TV monitor.
A serial server can be integrated
with the cash register.
